What's New at hazmatship.com: FAQ

Why have you changed things?

We at the Journal are committed to providing not just the best technical analysis but also the best tools for managing and accessing the information you need, when you need it. To that end, we have spent the past few months fine-tuning major upgrades to our search engine, content management platform, and user account policies. We have intended the changes to be as unobtrusive and convenient for subscribers as possible.

What has changed?

Your log-in information. To increase subscriber security and facilitate more efficient access to our website, your account username is now the same as the active email address you provided the Journal, and we now request that subscribers set their own password for their account.

If you are not presently logged in to the website and reset your password, you will receive an email with a validation code.

Copy and paste the validation code from that email into the password reset webpage. You will then be able to choose a new password.

If you are already logged in, simply enter a new password, re-enter it to confirm it, and save it.

Passwords must be at least six characters in length and can be any combination of letters and numbers.

Your online account information is limited to your name and email address and your password is encrypted. The Journal never sells or shares subscriber information with third parties.

Search. We have implemented a new search engine to continue delivering the most relevant results from the Journal's extensive collection of documents while adding innovative features. For more information on using the new search engine, click here.

What hasn't changed?

Search. Results are still provided in reverse chronological order (most recent to least) and your search terms are still highlighted in the results and the resulting documents. You can still restrict your searches by manual date range, and we have expanded the category search capability seven fold.

Content and navigation. Though the Reference Gateway has been redesigned, content navigation through the left and top menubars has not changed.

The Digital Edition. You can still access the current issue of The Journal of HazMat Transportation as a Digital Edition and previous issues are still available on the lefthand menu.
